Lennox "Len" Nephin Obituary

Len Nephin, age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Clover House with his family by his side. Lennox “Len” Joseph Nephin was born February 18, 1936 to John & Lillian Nephin in Chichester, Quebec. As a young man, Len worked in lumber camps.

He married Joyce Rita LePage on December 6, 1954 in Swift Current. Len worked for the CPR before making the switch to the plumbing and gas fitting trade in 1964, he went on to be a custom home builder. He joined the Knights of Columbus with his father-in-law, Lionel LePage. Len & Joyce had always been interested in health, which led to them opening the Knight ‘n Gale Health and Wellness Center — a facility with exercise and rehabilitation beds, along with alternative health care products and services.

Len enjoyed doing just about anything that was a challenge — he had his pilot’s licence and loved the outdoors. He was a passionate gardener and enjoyed telling people about it, he especially enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labours. Even at 81, Len was still very active and would go bike riding with the dog. He especially loved when his children and grandchildren came home, and they were able to spend time together as a family.

Len is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Nephin (Swift Current, SK); his children, Stacy (Lenor Eaton) Nephin (Calgary, AB), Pam (Roger) Hellevang (Blairmore AB), Guy (Crystal) Nephin (Red Deer, AB), and Perry (Galina) Nephin (Red Deer, AB); and by his grandson, Nicholas Nephin (Red Deer, AB). Len was predeceased by his grandsons, Cody Hellevang and Wesley Nephin.

Come to Me

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be.

So, He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
