Lucien Levasseur

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lucien Levasseur, age 91, of Swift Current and formerly of Ponteix, wish to announce his passing on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Regina General Hospital, after hip surgery and complications due to Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Lucien is survived by his wife, Helen (nee Laverdiere) Levasseur; his sons, Alain (Betty) Levasseur and Leo (Carolyn) Levasseur; and by his step-grandson, Liam Koochin.

The Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Swift Current, SK with Rev. Sathiadas Anthony as Celebrant and Rev. Thomas Mutavanattu as Concelebrant. The organist for the service was Yolande Gorrill with Peggy Marshall serving as Psalmist. The First Reading was brought by Joanna Kazakoff with Jackie Hagen as Second Reader. The eulogy was shared by Leo Levasseur. The Knights of Columbus provided the Honor Guard. The Private Family Interment Service was held at Mt. Pleasant Burial Park Columbarium, with Joanne Meyer serving as Urn Bearer. In memory of Lucien Levasseur, donations made to the Lung Association, 2308 Arlington Ave., Saskatoon, SK, S7J 3L3, would be appreciated by the family.
