Martha Robson, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Herbert & District Integrated Facility, Herbert, SK with family by her side.
Martha Robson was born on January 5, 1946 in Herbert, SK, to Jacob W & Aganetha Penner, the second youngest of a family of 13 children. Martha attended the Lady Bank School and completed her Grade 8. Martha and Donald “Don” Robson were married on July 16, 1966 at the Morse United Church, Morse, SK. In 1967, they moved to their own farm where they built a life together with hard work and strong community ties. Martha had many interests besides farming and always had a project on the go, often a new afghan or a baby blanket. Some of her many interests included gardening, baking, canning, crocheting, quilting, puzzles, and reading. Martha & Don enjoyed their evenings reminiscing over a cup of coffee, visiting with family and friends, or attending community dances. Their home was always open to welcome neighbors and family for a visit and of course to enjoy some home baking.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Elaine Robson (Pat Simmons) Moose Jaw, SK; her grandchildren, Emily Osmachenko and Carson Osmachenko; Pat’s children, Makena Simmons and Max Simmons; her siblings and in-laws, Tina Zacharias, (Karen) Penner, Lena Stenstrom, and Ben (Doreen) Penner; Don’s sisters-in-law, (Jane) Robson and (Mary) Robson; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
