Mary Wiebe

Mary Wiebe (Klassen), age 95, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre, Gull Lake, SK.

Mary Wiebe was born on July 7, 1929 in McMahon, SK to Abraham & Margaret Klassen. She grew up in Wymark and Swift Current. Mary met the love of her life, Jacob Wiebe, and they were married on June 27, 1953 at Zion Mennonite Church in Swift Current. When Jacob passed away in 2019, they were married for 66 years. She worked as a waitress and later as a homemaker. Mary is remembered for volunteering at the church, sewing for MCC, making blankets and quilts. Many of the family right down to the grandchildren were also recipients of her homemade blankets. Mary enjoyed a variety of interests, from caring for others, being the hostess, singing around the house, joking around, and going for bike rides.

Mary is survived by her children, Ron & Heather (Hettel) Wiebe, Leslie Wiebe, Darcy & Linda (Mouland) Wiebe, Donald & Kim (Stratemeyer) Lancer, Velise & Mark Wolf; and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
