Michael Dwayne Caswell was born June 13, 1953 in Regina, SK and grew up in Swift Current. Mike enjoyed spending his summers at the family cabin at Clearwater Lake. He worked for many years at the City of Swift Current, where he made countless friends. He later pursued other careers with Dura Products, Modus Windows and Doors, and Prairie Industrial.
He had the joy of helping his three sons in all kinds of sports as they grew — including coaching minor ball and being an assistant coach whenever needed. The annual trip to the Moose Jaw airshow was always a big hit. Becoming a grandpa was a highlight of Mike’s life and he loved every minute of it.
Mike loved to fix things — be it a car, boat, or golf cart. If he didn’t know how, he found out. He also loved to build — deck, shed, or just renovate the house — he always had something in the works. And he was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and family.
Mike enjoyed his numerous trips to Mexico and camping at Thomson Lake, but his passion was golf. He never went on a trip without his clubs in tow and was always looking for that magical gadget that would improve his score!
Mike will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and by all who knew him.
A private graveside service was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK on Thursday, August 4. 2022.
