Paul Dyck, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK.
Paul Peter Dyck was born on August 12, 1933 on the family farm north of Gouldtown, SK to Gerhard & Katarina Dyck, the fifth of seven children. He was the brother to Hertha, Mary, George, Frieda, Tena and Robert. Paul attended Roland School and completed grade eight. He was a good student, but from his youth he was always a farmer at heart.
On October 21, 1945 his father passed away. He soon took on the role of a grown-up, working alongside his brother George. His passion for horses and livestock resulted in a successful operation.
Paul found the perfect soulmate to fulfill his life. Paul and Susie Funk were married on May 30, 1987. Paul & Susie enjoyed their extended family, their neighbors, and going to concerts.
Paul was baptized on June 15, 1958 in the Gouldtown Mennonite Church. He invested significant time and energy to the church and faithfully supported the church financially.
Paul and his brother, George, greatly succeeded in their grain/pure-bred cattle operation.
Paul was very active in his community. He was a councilor for the Municipality of Morse, and a director of the Herbert Credit Union for many years.
Paul’s body is laid to rest in the Gouldtown Cemetery, only steps away from the land he farmed for decades. But better still, his spirit is with the Heavenly Father whom he served throughout his life.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, Susie; his parents, Gerhard & Katarina Dyck; his brother, George; and by his sisters, Hertha and Mary. He leaves to mourn his and Susie’s grandchildren; his sisters, Frieda (Henry) Kroeker, Tena Siemens; and a brother, Robert (Dianne) Dyck; and his many nieces and nephews
