Paulena (Deobald, Weinbender) Weppler born July 3, 1925 in the Flowing Well District, passed away at Herbert Integrated Health Centre on November 30, 2025.
Paulena grew up on the farm near Flowing Well working alongside her family, never afraid to get her hands dirty.
Paulena married David Weinbender and welcomed three sons, Wayne, Stanley and Dwight. They later farmed north of Morse until retiring into Swift Current in the early 1970's.
Years after Dave's passing Paulena returned to Morse upon marrying James Weppler in 1975. Paulena continued to reside in Morse until she moved into Prairie Wind Estates (Herbert) in 2017. She enjoyed her time there often saying she never had it so good.
Mom (Grandma) enjoyed music, bowling and spending time with her brothers and sisters back in her younger days. Jim and her traveled many miles across Canada and the US in their motorhome. Coffee and baked goodies were always available at her kitchen table. She was lucky enough to always be in good health and was able to celebrate her 100th birthday with friends and family this past year. She passed peacefully in her sleep with Dwight by her side.
Predeceased by parents Conrad and Katherine, first husband David Weinbender, second husband James Weppler, sons Wayne and Stan, daughter in law Geraldine, as well as all her brothers and sisters.
Paulena will be lovingly remembered by son Dwight, daughter in law Claire, grandchildren Colin (Karen), Bonita (Larry), Kimberley, Carly (Jeff), Joni (Gerard), Great Grandchildren Kelly (Matt), Taylor, Kolby, Abbey, Ashley, Great Great Grandchildren Mia, Amelia and Eleanor.
Memorial Service will be held at Flowing Well in Spring of 2026.
