Her involvement in many church activities and offices held included, Sunday School, Bible Studies, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School, Pioneer Girls, Church Librarian, Chinese Church Sunday School and Alpha Ministries. She was a dedicated member of The Ladies Missionary Prayer Group and many other prayer groups. From 1991, Ruby led regular Devotions at Care Homes including The Palliser, The Meadows, and Cypress House, continuing to serve at Cypress House until her passing. First and foremost was her desire to love and serve her Lord and to love and serve others. Ruby reached out to those she knew and to countless others she did not know with faithful prayers, warmth, caring, and compassion, always ready to help in whatever way needed. Ruby’s generosity was limitless in supporting Christian Ministries locally, in Canada, and throughout the world. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, William & Lena Wotherspoon; brother & sister-in-law, Graham & Helen Wotherspoon; and by her cousin, Sherry Gail Young. She is survived by a cousin, Neil & Marilyn Graham, and family (Vancouver, BC.); and by many cousins from all generations on the Wotherspoon side of the family. Ruby leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith and though she will be missed, we are comforted in knowing that Ruby is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and reunited with her loved ones.
