Sophie Voth, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Herbert and District Integrated Healthcare Facility, Herbert, SK.

Sophie Voth was born April 8, 1928 to Bernard & Helen Tacholsky. She grew up on the farm at Kelstern, SK.

She met the love of her life, Jake, and they were married on October 21, 1956. Sophie & Jake were blessed with two daughters, Julie and Marilyn.

The Voth family lived on her parent's homestead in Kelstern for four years then moved to Swift Current, SK for one year. Eventually, they settled in Herbert.

Sophie was a hard worker and she enjoyed gardening, baking, and crocheting. She made sure the house was always clean and her family well fed. Sophie was welcoming to her family and friends, always greeting everyone with a smile. She loved her family dearly and you never left without her telling you she loved you.

Sophie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jacob; her daughter Julie, (Dean) Froese, and their children, Brittany (Justin) Wilson and Marshal Froese; her daughter, Marilyn Leippi, and her children, Rebecca Leippi and A.J. Leippi; and by her sisters, Tilly, (Jake) Klippenstein and Laura Sabash.

There will be a Private Family Graveside Service at the Herbert Cemetery at a later date.
