Steven Phillip Hall

Steven Hall, age 40, passed away after a very brief battle with cancer on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Clover House in Swift Current, SK, with family by his side.

Steven Phillip Hall was born on March 28, 1984 to Phil & Carol Hall in Swift Current, SK joining his older siblings, Kevin and Kelly as the baby of the family. Steve married the love of his life, Trisha in 2009. They were blessed with the birth of two girls, Marlee and Brynn. The love of family was paramount for Steve and the addition of Trisha to his life also gave the gift of a very strong extended family in the Dafoe’s. He held many titles in his life, husband, son, brother, electrician, solid friend, and sidekick to his dad in all projects and tasks, but his favorite role was being a father to his two little girls, Marlee and Brynn.  Steve was always present for them whether it was telling inherited dad jokes, coaching their soccer teams, choreographing living room dance moves, taking them to hockey games, wearing matching Halloween costumes, or having park dates. With Trisha, his heart was in his family.

Anyone who knew Steve would describe him as being kind, easy going, and willing to help anyone, anytime, a great listener, and anyone who came into his circle would say that his smile, personality, and sense of humor was a joy to be around. Steve was a good friend to many people.

He found his career path in electrical work and enjoyed learning other trades as well. Steve spent 15 years employed with the Pioneer Co-op and had a strong commitment to the people he worked with. He truly loved his work and took pride in everything he did. When Steve wasn’t working, he fielded questions from friends and family about all things electric as he was a bit of an expert, always willing to help. In Steve’s spare time he enjoyed playing ball for many years with his team, The Contractors, whom he became very close with. He also enjoyed playing pickle ball and pool.

Steve was predeceased by his mother, Carol. He leaves to treasure his memory his wife Trisha; his daughters, Marlee and Brynn; his father & step-mother, Phil & Lynn; his brother, Kevin (Tracy), nephews Terrell and Dayton; his sister, Kelly (Leanne); a step-brother, John; parents-in-law, Shirley & Cecil Dafoe; in-laws, Becky (Vaughn), Nicole (Todd), and Chad (Briar); nieces and nephews, Jordan, Sydney, Talon, Gemma, Maizy, Ruby and Beau; as well as many extended family members.

Steve’s passing left a hole in our hearts, and he will be missed by many.
