Teresa Wengel

Teresa Wengel, age 59, beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at The Meadows, Swift Current, SK. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and all the great memories. Teresa Liann Wengel was born on March 23, 1965 at Swift Current, SK to Albert & Elsie (Ketler) Koehn. Teresa lived and loved life to the fullest, but her family was her greatest achievement. She never missed a concert, play, or other school activities. Teresa inspired many people during her life but no one more important than her children. For Kaylee, it was to pursue her goals and dreams of furthering her education and personal well being. For Braden, it was to start and continue with his passion in music. The highlight of every summer was camping at the landing or other places with family. For Teresa, just being outdoors exploring, playing games, laughing, taking nature photos, visiting, and boat rides, were always a highlight. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending paint nights which enhanced her natural artistic talent, an interest she shared with her daughter. Like her mother, Teresa had a born ability to connect with animals of all kinds. Teresa’s work life consisted mostly of customer service in various Swift Current retail locations. Her contagious smile was always the first thing customers noticed along with her helpful attitude. Teresa was predeceased by her father, Albert Koehn; her mother, Elsie Koehn; her brother, Jim Koehn; a nephew, Steven Koehn; and by a niece, Jamie Koehn. Teresa is survived by her husband, Kim Wengel; her son, Braden Wengel; her daughter, Kaylee Wengel; her sisters, Sharon Mayr, Deb Hedstrom, Patty & Brad Risler; her brother, Tim Koehn; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Koehn; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Graveside Service was held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from the Mount Pleasant Burial Park Columbarium, Swift Current, SK. In memory of Teresa Wengel, donations made to Canadian Cancer Society or to Saskatchewan Mental Health would be appreciated by the family.
