Yvonne (Seip) Anderson

Yvonne Anderson (nee Seip), age 83, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Meadows, Swift Current, SK. Yvonne Adeline Anderson born September 2, 1935 to William & Adeline Seip in Leader, SK and grew up on the family farm located south of the Lancer Ferry.

In 1959, Yvonne married Bob Anderson. Together with their son, Blair, they continued to farm until 1981, when Bob & Yvonne retired to Swift Current. Yvonne enjoyed a social life of playing cards and volunteering with home care for the seniors who were home bound. During their retirement, Bob & Yvonne travelled to see family in parts of the United States and especially enjoyed the Anderson Family Reunions.

The Blue Jays cannot be forgotten — as far as Yvonne was concerned, they are the only baseball team.

Special thanks to the great staff at the Bentley for their excellent care, the Home Care girls for their kindness and compassion, and the staff at the Meadows — you made her last days and the transition so peaceful.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Blair; her sisters-in-law, Helen (Roy) and Kathie; her appointed granddaughter, Julia; her special friends, “Holly” Sue, Helen, Neil, and Audrey; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by husband, Bob; her parents, William & Adeline; her brothers, Jim and Wilbur; her sister, Anne; her sisters-in-law, Kathryn, Eunice, and Elinor; and by her brother-in-law, Jack.

At Yvonne’s request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, memorial donations in honour of Yvonne Anderson made to the Salvation Army or to the Dr. Noble Irwin Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
