Video Recording

At first this might seem like a strange option — after all, who would want to relive one of the hardest days of their lives? It might seem strange,  but what if there were some benefits to having a recording of the Funeral Service or Celebration of Life? While we have offered this service for many years, this option is often received as a new service or possibility. It is one of the many details that never crosses your mind when preparing for a service, or is given much consideration. Let us explain some of the benefits so you can make an informed decision.

One of the most common deciding factors in a family’s decision to record the service is for those who cannot attend due to scheduling conflicts, illness or medical restrictions, travel cost, travel time/distance,family/work obligations, and so on. Having a recording of the service allows these individuals to still feel like they were able to take part in the service and remember your loved one.

Another reason is because of mental clarity. We often hear that the day of the service is a “blur.” Without a recording of the ceremony, the heartfelt tributes of family, friends, and pastors will fade. With a recording, the memories are preserved and can be revisited at anytime.

A recording also allows future generations to learn about their ancestors from firsthand accounts of those who knew them best.

Upon request, our staff are able to video record the Funeral Ceremony and upload the video directly to your loved one’s tribute page. We can also make digital or hard copies for future viewing at home.
