Welcome to the memorial page for

Anne Reiter

January 17, 2015

Anne Reiter, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK, while holding the hand of her beloved husband of 63 years, Mike. She was also surrounded by a large part of their loving family. Anne was born on August 08, 1930, the youngest in the family of Michael & Marie Schroh, Luseland. SK. Anne and Mike’s families homesteaded only one mile apart, 9 miles East and a ½ mile north of Luseland. Although they were educated in different schools they were close childhood friends. Anne Schroh and Mike Reiter were married in Edmonton, AB on November 28, 1951. They enjoyed their years together with their 10 children: Gregg (Doreen), Debbie (Doug), Kim (Erlinda), Donna (Bruce), Michele (David), Michael (Carole), Roxanne (Dan), Yvonne (Robert), Yvette (Mike), and Brad. They were also blessed with many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their immediate family totals in the high 70’s. In 1967, they left the family farm and transferred to Swift Current. Anne enjoyed several employment opportunities including managing Tops Burger Bar, the Swift Current Cheese Plant, and getting her certificate in commercial cooking…which we all enjoyed. Anne also worked in long term care until they both retired in 1987. Together, they enjoyed many visits and activities with their large family, travelling and gardening. Anne was predeceased by her parents as well as Mike’s parents; her brothers, Mike (Miranda) Schroh, John Schroh, Joe (Betty) Schroh, sister, Katie (Paul) Flahr; brothers-in-law, Tony Rambold, Steve (Angela) Reiter; her grandson, John Michael MacLachlan; her granddaughter, Laci-Anne Powell; and by her daughter, Debbie Duff. She is survived by her remaining Children; Grandchildren; and Great-Grand Children; a sister, Mary Rambold; sister-in-law, Lena Schroh; brothers, Pete Schroh, Walter (Betty) Schroh; brothers-in-law, Val (Marie) Reiter, Bill (Lorraine) Reiter and Ben (Janis) Reiter; and by numerous nieces ans nephews. Our Beautiful Loving Generous (especially with her time and memories) Thoughtful Encouraging Gentle Spiritual Mother gave so much to this world. It is in her Honour that our grief will be everlastingly consoled only by the knowledge that she is now with our Lord and Saviour. She is checking on the preparations’ already started by her Heavenly Family who have greeted her with loving open arms. It is in knowing how fragile life can really be, that we understand she is at peace, comfortable and breathing easy. Anne’s Family, especially Mike, wish to Thank Dr. deKlerk, and the Medical Staff of Unit #3 at the Cypress Regional Hospital for their loving care. The following is Anne’s closing note: Family Ties…Family Ties are precious bonds that passing time endears, for they begin with memories of our happy childhood years.

…Family ties are growing bonds nourished by love and laughter and a thousand “everyday events” that are cherished ever after.

…Family ties are lasting bonds that are woven in each heart to keep a family close in thought together or apart!
