Marilyn and family - what a bittersweet day yesterday was saying goodbye to Doug. I rejoice knowing he is with the Savior whom he loved and sang about for all those years- but the pain is so real knowing the hole that has been left in your hearts. We had so many fun times together when we were on the road and there is no bass player on the face of the earth that can play as Doug did. I will always cherish our GloryBound days and loved that you had his guitar on stage. Take one moment at a time and rely on God when you feel you can't make one more decision. God is faithful and will not let you down! Praying for you all.

Dear Marilyn,
So very sad to hear about Doug! Enjoyed reading the write up--yes, such a wonderful man! We were greatly blessed by him...indeed, we have been blessed by you both. Thank you SO MUCH for your generosity and servanthood! One of my fondest memories is of him calling Kelty: Kelty pudding pops! That's what he was all about--loving people and making them feel very special! I know there will be lots of adjustment as you continue life without him, but I also know that God will give you his comfort, peace, and strength as you continue to trust him for your future. My father passed away at 67 and my. Mom has never fully gotten over the loss. But then, that's the beauty of love! Our prayers and love are with you as you walk through this time of grief and as you find our Lord's presence very near!

Message from Stuart and a Bonnie Gorski
January 11, 2016 1:17 PM

We are so saddened by the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. Doug was truly a wonderful man as I witnessed his love for his family on many occasions. We have fond memories of Doug and Marilyn bringing Brendan and Colby to the rink for early morning games when Pam and Kerry were away. Doug considered it a privledge that he got to spend a crisp winter morning watching the boys play hockey and often commented on how much Big Phil reminded him of his own son Kerry. The bond between a grandfather and his grandsons was evident, he loved them dearly.
We can only hope that your family find love and peace in the memories that have been created throughout Doug's life. May these memories bring you comfort and help keep you company as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man.
Sincerely, The Gorski Family - Stuart, Bonnie, Sam and Jack
