My sincerest condolences to your friends and loved ones.....
In reading your obituary it confirmed for me what i already knew .... That you were a kind spirit with a twinkle in your eye and a good sense of humour. I enjoyed watching the little nods and looks of understanding that you and Rita shared at the dinner table at Cypress House. The love you two shared was so obvious and admired. I knew you but a short time but i really appreciated your kind, generous nature, your smile and attempys to bring humour to the rest of us in spite of your own trials with your health. Your passing is with sadness however at the same time may your loved ones br comfored knowing that you've been called to rest where there is no more pain - Rest in Peace & God Bless

I was very sad to hear of Uncle Herman's passing. I will always remember his compassion and incredible sense of humor. My thoughts are with Rita and the rest of the family at this time.

Of course no surprise that I got to know Herman because he moved my piano numerous times. Every time he would plot out the move from one place to the next and it amazed me how it always flowed so easily. He definitely was careful not to damage anything and was a respectful man with a great sense of humor! My son always looked forward to him coming to move, in fact it got to the point where he actually went to help Herman an odd time. My prayers and thoughts are with Rita and the family. RIP Herman you will be missed.

It was a pleasure to know Herman and to have our wedding pictures taken in July of 1970 in the beautiful log house he built.

To all of Herman's family: Over the last few years it has been a pleasure for Vern & I to get to know Herman & Rita. Herman was a kind man with a mind of his own and not one that would be swayed easily. He had a great sense of humor. We had many differences of opinion. In spite of that, we were close friends to the end. We miss him as a neighbor and will certainly miss him on our visits to Cypress House. I think you were lucky to have him as family and I know we were lucky to have him as a friend.

Theresa - it was so nice to see you today. I looked for your e-mail, etc. that you talked about today but I guess I don't know where to look. If you are ever in Swift Current, don't hesitate to stop in if you have the time.
Sharyn
