I just learned of Laura's passing yesterday from Bob Church. I am sorry I was gone that weekend and had not heard about the funeral. I have many fond memories of your mom. She was a very dear friend to my mom Violet. I loved Laura's kindness and soft voice, she always gave me a hug and was happy when we saw each other. You could not have met a kinder lady always doing and giving to others before herself. I listened to the service, and I smiled to myself as I recall when she got her drivers license at 65 so she could continue driving to Carstairs to her church. I was so proud of her. Thinking of you both Mel and Kevin and families.

Kevin (Joyce) and Mel (Carolyn)...we are keeping you in our prayers as you and your families honor your amazing mother. She who constantly carried that warm, inviting smile. Whether it was playing loud music in the house as teenage boys in Didsbury, by Alton's bedside as he slipped on from this life, or in the hospital bed at Medicine Hat Hospital - Laura always had her genuine smile "on." She raised two amazing boys - loved to talk about your families - you know she prayed for you all. She leaves us having set the bar for "how we ought to live out our lives," extremely high - and that, in such a natural, "Spirit-led", "Christ-patterned" way. We miss her as I'm sure you will, till we meet again - to see her pleasant smile, in heaven...FOREVER! ....Our love, thoughts and prayers, Lance and Linda
