Helen Wiebe

Helen Wiebe (Martens), age 81, of Swift Current, SK and formerly of Springfeldt, SK, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK. Helen was born on April 6, 1935 to Jacob & Mary Martens in Blumenort, SK. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Corney, on June 13, 2016. She is survived by her children, Judy (Wes) Wiebe, Nettie (Trevor) Ward and their children, Shandra (Riley) Woods and Tyrel (Kristin Blomert) Ward, Tilly (Lionel) Tschetter, and their children, Tim (Leah Kiel) Tschetter, Brian Tschetter, and Karlee Tschetter, Darcy (Shari) Wiebe and their children, Keelan Wiebe and Jackson Wiebe; her sisters, Mary (Corny) Wiebe, Sue (Don) Kezama, Dorothy Wilcocks; her brothers, John (Ruth) Martens, Peter (Marie) Martens, Cornie (Connie) Martens, Ed (Marilyn) Martens; and by her brother-in-law, Abram (Jessie) Wiebe. 

A Private Family Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:30 am from the Chapel of Swift Current Funeral Home with Rev. Joell Haugan officiating. “In the Garden” and “When We All Get to Heaven” were sung by those in attendance. Scripture was read from Proverbs 31. Special chosen pre-recorded songs were “I Want to Stroll Over Heaven” and “God Will Make a Way”. The Private Family Interment Service was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Tyrel Ward, Riley Woods, Tim Tschetter, Brian Tschetter, Keelan Wiebe and Jackson Wiebe. In memory of Helen Wiebe, donations made to the Community Baptist Church, Swift Current, SK would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff at House #14, The Meadows for the care and compassion shown to our Mom and family.
